So Close

For the first time in a while, I can relax. I've made it down to one more pset and a few more readings before Thanksgiving. With this week's work over with, I'm done with 5.37 entirely leaving only three classes left for the rest of the term. This leaves me a lot more time to focus on lab and LSC which is nice.

Yet for now, I've decided to ease up a bit and watch a few episodes of From The Earth to the Moon. The entire launch of the space program is an interesting time in U.S. History. It's hard to imagine a country that was so cohesive in obtaining one goal and to have that goal be so heavily dependent on science. It's the same idea that makes the Manhattan Project interesting too. Now there are talks of a Manhattan Project undertaking towards renewable energy in this country and yet the feeling doesn't seem to be the same. With the Manhattan Project, so much was kept secret that the general public couldn't be actively behind the goal. The Apollo missions were an undertaking to accomplish the impossible and prove that America was everything Americans believed it could be. It seems that with renewable energy, it's not just trying to push the limits of man and science but to more so fix mankind's irresponsibility. I hope this project (if it happens) is successful but with so many other problems troubling the country right now, it's tough to stand together, committed to one task.

On a much lighter note, the schedules for IAP and next term are both available. As far as IAP goes, the plan is to spend most of my time in lab making some serious progress on my project along with some money too. Last IAP, I relaxed and got my PE classes out of the way while taking a class on Paradise Lost. Since I won't be able to take anything for credit, i'm only looking at non-credit lectures/events. If anyone is interested in checking these out with me, let me know which ones, and maybe i'll be more inclined towards those ones over others. These ones caught my eye the most:

  • Art and Architecture Tour of the Boston Public Library
  • Chocolate Tour of Boston
  • Series on Virtual Worlds
  • Conflict and Classic Cinema
  • Expelled: A film and discussion @ Intelligent Design and American schools
  • Food for Thought: An Introduction to Food Science and Molecular Gastronomy
  • Superheroes and the Life Lessons They Teach Us
  • Health and Safety Issues of Nanomaterials
  • The Feynman Films
  • Contemporary Military Topics
Other than that, I'll be helping with the planning for the SciFi marathon, trying to finish the Sandman series, making a dent in my McSweeney's queue and with any luck, i'll finish up Doctor Who the second time around.

As for next term, the only classes I know i'm taking for sure are 5.62 (Statistical Mechanics) and 5.38(Physical Chemistry Lab). 5.62 goes into how you combine both thermodynamics and quantum chemistry to give the chemistry that exists around us. It's math intensive but proving things like the ideal gas law are satisfying. 5.38 includes the production of quantum dots which should be one of the most exciting modules in the new URIECA program. I've seen a bit of quantum dot chemistry since the Swagger Lab joins with the Bawendi Lab but making my own is something im looking forward to. I'm not sure what my other 2 or 3 classes are going to be yet. I'll likely browse a lot more over the break.

With that, there are a few other small things about this week that are worth noting:
  • Chuck Klosterman put out a new book and it's his first novel. I imagine that it's a bit different than his essays but i'm still eager to read Downtown Owl.
  • Heroes released their second print volume of the comics found online. I'll probably add this to my wish list on amazon, but I may just cave. Not sure yet.
  • While on a trip to Best Buy, I noticed the fourth volume of Doctor Who at the ridiculous price of $38. Somehow they mislabeled the entire stock they had which means, I somehow saved about $30. WOO.
  • Andrew Bird is coming to Boston on January 30th at the Orpheum. Tickets go on sale later today so i'll be on that.
  • Band of Brothers, one of my favorite shows from HBO has announced that they are making a sequel like show covering the campaign against Japan. Exciting news.
  • M83 puts on an amazing show. While unrecorded went unplayed, I was still blown away. School of Seven Bells is also worth checking out. Get on it.
At long last, the weekend is almost here. Later tonight, i'll be checking out Video Games Live. Yes, it's all kinds of nerdy, but i'm still excited. Thats all for now.

What's This? An update, damn.

In shocking fashion, I update again! The three day week is nearing a close while I get ready for a weekend of work. It's never good when you know ahead of time that the weekend is going to be mostly work but its better than freaking out and being all kinds of stressed instead.

Before I go into what's going on next week, I'll highlight a few of the more interesting things this week brought with it. I didn't have much work to do this week which made things much more relaxed in general. I read almost all of the first volume of Kabuki, and will admit it's some of the best artwork and layout work in a comic that i've ever seen. I should definitely pay more attention to the comics that Felisia recommends from now on. On a sidenote, David Mack will be at the New York Comic Con come February and with any luck, I'll be there too!

In keeping in line with the having more free time this week, I went to a sneak preview of Quantum of Solace. I thought the movie was really good. The layout of the sneak was kind of awful with an annoyingly loud and crying kid coupled with a smaller than usual theater but James Bond can overcome any obstacle. I found some of the action sequences completely bananas. I mean falling through glass ceilings, suspension fights, car chases, boat chases, sweet jesus that's a lot of action! I'd say my biggest let down by far was the bond girl in this movie. Her acting was fine and all that but in terms of attractiveness, it was weak compared to the last girl. I thought the other girl in this movie was more appealing but maybe thats just me.

Before I ramble on about lots of other things, I figure I'll sum up the most memorable/awesome/wtf things here:

  • Hostess Cherry Pies may just be the most amazing snack I know of right now. Their rarity only adds to the appeal. Call me a fatty for making that the first thing I mention. I'll just eat a hostess cherry pie and everything will be better.
  • Ever since I added a feedreader on my sidebar in firefox, i've found my productivity inversely proportional to the amount of crazy awesome links/articles/pictures I stumble upon. It's worth it.
  • In my feed searching, I stumbled across this blog, that has a new zombie themed short story every day, M-F. I've never felt more prepared for Z-Day. Seriously, I have food stockpiled like no ones business.
  • Doctor Who comics are set to be published next year. I've been comtemplating the idea of subscribing to the magazine. Oddly enough, Christmas is coming up...
  • The boston.com photo stream may just be one of my favorite rss feeds. Check out an example here.
  • Heroes is more and more like Marvel/X-Men each episode and I love it. Everyone else raves about how it's dumb and while I completely disagree, they still watch each week...
  • I got some more M83 remixes in the mail this week and they are worth every penny. Let me know if you want to listen and i'll let you borrow the cds or something.
I'm sure there are more things to mention, but i'll end it for now.

Posts may go on hiatus for a brief period (not months upon months) until my work clears up next week. I've just got to get through HASS readings, a hass response, a lab presentation, a 5.43 pset, and a 5.61 test. Oh yeah, it somehow all happens to be due by Wednesday at the latest. The upside, i'll be done early. This means that I may just have to cave in and explore post-apocalyptic America with Fallout 3.

Long Live Xanthia!

As I mentioned on my tumblr a while ago, new posting was finally in the works. It's obviously been some time since there has been any action here. Yet this time around, it's not really from me being completely hosed. Granted, there are still times when the work is a bit much but overall, this year is better by far than years past.

Since I've posted last, classes started. I decided to take on a lighter class load this term so that I could focus on both my UROP and work at the National Braille Press. This was definitely the better choice given how demanding this time last year was. My classes this term are here:

5.61- Quantum Chemistry- By far the most math intensive chemistry class I have taken so far but this is shaping up to be one of my favorite courses. This class proves and models many of the things taught in any intro chemistry course so it's pretty rewarding to work through the proofs. It turns out the simplest assumptions often take the most rigor to prove. At least a few times now, we've come to conclusions that go against what is thought to be physical law. It's refreshing to reach points where scientists can't explain the observed results.

5.37- Inorganic and Organic Lab- This is a joint lab from Professor Nocera and Professor Cummins that's been much less painful than any past lab so far. I managed to form a quadruple bond Mo complex capable of modeling two electron systems fully and another Mo complex capable of nitrogen scission. I think I was most excited about the nitrogen scission model because it has potential to replace the Haber Process, the most widely carried out reaction in all of chemistry. From this, I can finally understand Cummins argument about why he feels he deserves a nobel prize. He still has a while though.

5.43- Advanced Organic Chemistry- My favorite class at MIT so far. I used to think 5.13 was my favorite class but the material taught in this course is much more in depth while still being straightforward. This has a lot to do with G C Fu being an awesome professor. After this class, I would say im pretty certain that organic chemistry is what I want the focus of my career to be on.

STS.011- American Science: Ethical Conflicts- This class has caused me to change my concentration from literature to STS. We mainly read reports, articles, and papers concerning some of the most controversial scientific advancements in the past century. Our discussions are good but it seems like the majority of people are in favor of the technology and science in question. It makes sense given the student body here but often reduces the amount of serious debate, which the professor is always hoping for.

Swager Lab- Work in the Swager lab has been tough lately. My first semester in the lab, I managed to synthesize the first of two monomers necessary to carry out polymerization but the second monomer has proved to be exceedingly difficult to synthesize. After a whole lot of test reactions using various catalysts and substrates, I've had to settle on a new synthesis outline altogether although the final product will still be the same. I now have much more free time than before since 5.37 is over for the semester.

Other than that, i've been all kinds of active with lsc. We had elections this past Monday, and i'm now going to be the new Chairman of LSC! At first, I was on the fence about it but i've come to realize, there is no other club i'd rather be so involved in. We had a showing of Casino Royale this past Thursday to promote Quantum of Solace and I managed to get a free Quantum of Solace shirt somewhere in there.

The next day, I went and got my vote on and spotted G C Fu at the polls. There weren't any lines and while I thought i'd be productive that day, I felt like a kid on Christmas eve. For the first time that I can't remember, I felt my faith restored in the democratic process. Of course, there is still a long way to go and things have just begun but there is finally a chance for things to get better. My friend Brittni has been involved in all things political for quite some time now and from what I hear, most things in Arizona worked out how she was hoping so that was good news too. Unfortunately, Arizona couldn't do everything right. Voting there and in California showed that a majority of people can't handle the thought of a same sex couple expressing their love. Pretty discouraging but with any luck, an injunction will come up soon enough.

It's now the beginning of November and the sun seems to go down about as early as it comes up. I'm definitely still not used to it but i'm getting along much better than I have in the past. I'd say that has a whole lot to do with this semester being less stressful and having someone great to spend my time with. It also helps that i'll finally be going home in a few weeks. I'll be stopping by Las Vegas on my way through so I may have to see how me and Lady Luck get along. I haven't been home since March though and there is a lot of catching up I need to do with both family and friends. I'm already thinking of wings, late night hot cocoa, trips to sonic, mama louisas, la parilla suiza, and maybe even something sweet. Yeah im a fatty, but what of it? I'll need to check out Bookman's too and do some early morning day after thanksgiving shopping. It's practically like a sport in itself but sweet deals are worth the battles with savings crazed soccer moms.

With this semester being much more relaxed, I've managed to get in a pretty good amount of reading. I post all the books I read to my tumblr so I won't go too into depth here. I'm reading less novels than in the past in exchange for more comics and graphic novels. This is mostly because it's easier to read a few pages of a comic at the end of the night then reading a book for a few minutes and not being able to really get into it. Given that, I still managed to read my collection of H.P Lovecraft stories that I have had for a while now. I forgot how awesome The Call of Cthulhu is along with other mythos stories. I may have to go and buy one of these shirts sometime although Christmas is on the way. Hint Hint...

As for comics, it's a bit overwhelming with what I have to read and what's coming out now/within the next few weeks. I've started reading the entire Marvel Civil War series and Kabuki. I still need to read the last volume of Flight, Comic Book Tattoo. I managed to read the first omnibus of The Invincible Iron Man which makes the whole Iron Man story much better when the whole series can be read like one large story with each issue being small chapters. The final volume of the Sandman, the 4th volume of The Walking Dead, and the first hardcover edition of The Umbrella Academy are coming out real soon now which means I just might have to read more comics. Oh well...

I've also managed to go to a few concerts this semester. Ratatat, Caspian, The Mars Volta, and Children of Bodom were all amazing shows. Kamelot had the potential to be a really great show but the main vocals were turned down so much that it made it impossible to actually hear any of the lyrics to songs which is just all kinds of fail. I think i'm most excited for M83 next week. I've managed to get all of M83's cds except for one and haven't been let down at all. I didn't get a chance to see M83 last time they were her because of the cross-country trip I ended up taking instead. After M83, the last concert of term will be In Flames which i'm also all kinds of excited about. I think my excitement pales in comparison to Maggie's though. Lately, I'd say that I've been listening to M83 remixes, the new Bloc Party, and Girl Talk more than anything. I recommend all three so check it out.

Things with Maggie have been great. We've managed to check out Salem and Providence in the past few weeks which is always fun given that it's a chance to get out of Boston for a bit. We've managed to pass the halfway point of Doctor Who and things are finally building up to the best part of the series. It's a shame that David Tennant won't be coming back for a 5th season but I'm sure the next doctor will be just as great. I've read that some people think that the next doctor should be old and a bit odd so that the current romantic element of the doctor and his companion will vanish altogether. I think this is a bit ridiculous personally since I like the added drama that adds but only time will tell on all that. We've also been watching a lot of movies both new and old. We saw both Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Role Models and I've got to say they were both hilarious.

“Can i get a cup of coffee? black" “Cant you see we’re talkin…..White?”

haha aw yeah.

"Tell her you want to see her whispering eye"

On that note, that about does it for now. The four day weekend is now about half way over, so it might just be time to start some work. Yeah...

Edit: If you haven't seen Interstella 5555, get on it. Like now. Seriously.

As the Doctor might say...

It's reaching the end of the summer faster than ever but I can't say i'm at all disappointed with how the past few weeks have gone. Events and trips have been all the rage lately so it seems like thats a great way to start this off.

The dorms sponsored a trip to Six Flags and while at first I had decided not to go due to a visiting friend from back home, I eventually changed my mind. I still hung out with the friend for one day while she was here which was nice but didn't want to pass up on this opportunity either. We had to leave pretty early by bus but a trip to ABP beforehand can make getting up early in the morning on a sunday a whole lot more reasonable. Once we got to the park, we set out for the big rides first and luckily, everyone there was all for riding roller coasters. I can't say i've ever been to an amusement park with someone im close to either so that made for a pretty great experience. I should mention that it was great until the godforsaken teacups unleashed their wrath upon my stomach and that a certain someone whom id been close to may have been laughing maniacally while spinning the wheel. CRAZY times. I recovered though. I think that Superman and the Crime Wave were my favorites and that the MIND ERASER is guaranteed to assault your ears concussion style. I did manage to somehow turn myself around while going around the Crime Wave which was a first. Also, as a general note, talking about wanting to have kids while in line and then proceeding to make out like as if the line for the Batman rollercoaster gets you all hot and bothered is really NOT ok. Ever. Towards the end of the day, we ventured over to the water park but were foiled at the precise moment when we were shedding our normal clothes by the notice that a storm of epic proportions was on the way to drown us all and so the park was going to take a breather for a while. That may or may not be the exact recording we heard, but yeah, I think I remember it pretty spot on. If you were there, im sure you agree with me on that being the message we heard. We grabbed some ice cream before heading back to the bus and all in all, i'd say that it was a great time.

The next weekend marked my first trip to New York City. I'd been there once on a flight but it was only to the airport so that doesn't quite cut it. Full description below.
Day 1:
I took Friday off and after battling the washing machine, eating at The Other Side, and picking up reading for the trip, we set off for NYC. The bus ride there was uneventful except for some sweet BK action along the way. Also, apparently if while waiting in line for the bus and you say something funny, you may have water from Sarah's mouth shot in your direction. Just putting that out there. I got the window seat which doesn't matter so much on a bus but still added to my excitement.

We got off in Chinatown and wandered about Grand Central for a while. We managed to hear some insanely obnoxious jackhammering right across from the Starbucks which was bearable for all of a few seconds. We took the train back to Maggie's house where sleeping/hanging out/
wrapping myself up burrito style ensued. Also, Maggie's house has some 5000 different sets of stairs. I may or may not have gotten disoriented and confused a few times.

Day 2:
We slept in the next day and went and got a pretty delicious breakfast in town before taking the train into the city. However before we could catch the train, the heavens decided to empty every last drop of water imaginable and so we waited that out. The train station ended up actually being closed to debris all over the track but eventually, we made it into the city.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was our first stop and let it be known that they have one guilt forming way of making the museum "free of charge."
Vinayak and Charles also met up with us there which helped a whole lot with evening out the gender ratio. There was no way that we could possibly see everything in the time we wanted to spend there but we did see a lot of awesome things. Namely, there was an exhibit on superheroes and fashion. The fashion was interesting but I damn near lost it when I turned the corner and saw this:In case for some unknown reason you dont recognize this embodiment of AWESOME, it's the mark 2 Ironman armor that they used for the film. After seeing several first issues of all the main comics and feeling like the luckiest guy/kid/comic nerd in the world, we headed upstairs to check out a modern art exhibit. The view from the top of the building was incredible and the art was also really amazing. See below:
After this, we set off for food but managed to get sidetracked by Forbidden Planet and The Strand. Forbidden Planet is by and far the most impressive/amazing comic book store i've ever been to in my life. I could have spent hours in there looking at the comics, posters, shirts, and insane amount of action figures and figurines. Unfortunately, not everyone in our group shares this adoration for all things related to comics. After much deliberation and consulting with Maggie for help, I picked out a few comics and we set off to the Strand. By then, everyone was starving all kinds and so we only browsed for a little while. I'll have to check this out again some other day.

We then managed to eat some delicious indian food before heading over to Times Square. I felt like I was in Las Vegas all over again and remembered just how much I like being in a place with so many bright lights. People were all kinds of excited for the M&M store. I tried some cherry m&ms which were pretty good. Then people got tired and cranky so we heading back for the night. All in all, one of the best days/nights ive had in a while. It was great.

Day 3:
We managed to set out even earlier this day but started off by walking down the street to town for some bagels. I'm not sure if these were the New York bagels that everyone rants about or if I was just really hungry but the bagel was amazing. We got into the city and made our way to central park. Although I made sure to grab a piece cherry cheesecake for eating in the park beforehand. This didnt quite work as planned since I ate it before we got there but yeah, no big thing. The weather was nice for lounging about the park and after laying around for a while, we set off for chinatown. I still didnt understand any of the subway system by this point and would be pretty damn lost without someone who actually knew what was what. We made it chinatown and as Eric described it, it seems like a portal directly to china. Now we purchased our tickets for the trip back at which point Maggie pointed out the place that claims to be the place to go for NY hot dogs. Now, I was really hungry by this point so you can imagine my excitement when I saw that the hot dogs are only 92 cents! I quickly devoured this delicious hot dog and after getting on the bus, my mind took a different stance on said 92 cent hot dog after doing a quick consult with my stomach. How can anything great cost only 92 cents. Damn. Rest assured, I survived and lived to tell the tale.

So that marked the end of my first trip to New York. The full album of the trip can be found here.

As if this all wasn't enough, a group of us took a trip this past weekend out to Jamaica Pond. Now I could say that the reason for the trip was to go and relax by the pond but in all truthfulness, it was all for Sour Cherry Sorbet at JP licks. The bike ride was really nice and relaxing save a few hills. James managed to somehow endure the most bizarre bike complication ive ever seen but he made it to the pond, so all was well. Relaxing and reading at the pond was nice. I even got to take a long walk on the beach! It wasnt really a beach and wasnt really a long walk but I did get to skip some rocks and walk along the shore so im happy. The sorbet was damn delicious and the jp licks there was huge. We ate dinner beforehand at The Real Deal and then biked back for a fun night of drunkapalooza hosted by James. He managed to make a great playlist for the night.

So there we have it. Summers winding down but given the way things have gone lately, im not too concerned. I've been watching a lot of movies lately including: Love in the Time of Cholera, Starship Troopers 3, Little Miss Sunshine, The Science of Sleep, Hook, Nightwatch, and Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog which doesnt quite count but it's worth watching anways. I've also started rewatching Doctor who recently which is just as good the second time around if not better.

These next few weeks mark a visit from my dad, and the start of what may well be the most amazing concert lineup ive seen. The Faint and Yndi Halda are up next. If you haven't listened to the new Faint cd, I recommend it. Classes are also coming up fast but thats not of too much concern right now. All this combined with my 21st birthday coming up in a few months and I can hardly wait.

Fantastic!

And Away We Go

I've been meaning to update this for a while now. However, this is something that definitely has to be done in the right kind of mood which hasn't really occured until now. I've been managing to keep myself all kinds of busy. I feel it's best to simply break it down and just update each portion of my life and go from there.

I decided to take on more hours at the Braille Press which is easily one of the better decisions that I made as far as the summer goes. This has turned into an 9-1 workday there before biking back to EC for lunch. Although in the meantime, I've managed to get my legs in much better shape and have learned a good amount of braille too. I may just have to put those braille skills in action later on.

Once I get done with lunch, I head into lab which has finally taken a turn for the better as far as synthesis goes. Chemistry in general seems to have a lot of ups and downs. Some days, all reactions work, columns give great separation and NMRs are exactly what you want to see. Now this has been the case as of late but there were definitely some low points. However, even the low points have been pretty great. Like running into one of your professors in the chemistry building without a shirt on and hearing him explain to you how its really the way to go. It was the epitome of awkwardness. There was a lab barbeque this past weekend which was pretty great to see everyone in lab unwind a bit. Then again, when you arleady play Wii, volleyball and have TGIT every week, things are already pretty laid back as it is.

Work aside, things with LSC have been going really well. The summer has been doing well as far as attendance and things like that go. Although there is some definite pressure developing on the front of being chairman for the upcoming year. I've yet to really make my mind up on this one yet but im starting to really lean one way over the other. This isnt something I really have to figure out until October/November though so all is well. Although I do need to find someone to take the refreshments director position which may be tough to make happen.

I have been making sure to see plenty of movies this summer. Movies and summer go hand in hand in my mind so it works out nicely. Hellboy II, The Dark Knight, Persepolis(A bit late), and Wall-E were all great movies but I think the people I've been seeing them with has definitely played a part on the good memory those movies seem to bring about. I post about books on my tumblr enough as is, so really going into depth here seems a bit redundant.

I've been taking a break on concerts since Iron Maiden and Tiesto. An unlikely combination but yeah. Things will be picking back up come Nightwish at the end of August which will then bring up The Mars Volta on the weekend before my birthday, followed by Of Montreal, and Kamelot.

I feel i've been doing a good job on seeing new places and making things happen this summer which was something that I really wanted to make happen. I still need to go to The Christian Science Center which will hopefully happen sometime. I did manage to go to the aquarium today. It's not as big as the aquarium I went to in California but was still worth it. I finally managed to see one of these IMAX movies people are always talking about. It was Sharks 3D! Awesomeness of that aside, I also got to touch some rays and sharks which felt pretty weird but was still great. I also avoiding getting my chest wet awkwardly like *someone* so go me! Dinner tonight was wagamama, which has some great noodle dishes. I already like noodles a lot as is and I dont have a whole lot of other places to compare it to so this may require more exploring. Our meal even included entertainment from a street performer that parents somehow thought their kids should be around which was kind of hilarious. Gelatto in the north end ended the evening and id say that green apple + caramel was an excellent choice. In keeping with the trend of getting out and doing things, a trip to the harbor islands, new york city, and six flags are all on the way. It's pretty great.

Now there may just be one other significant change thats come about lately. And while I could just talk about that like everything else, where is the fun in that? If you know me well enough, you either know by now or youll be finding out the details soon enough.

A test

I've always thought it pretty great how listening to a certain song or cd can immediately evoke memories from some other point in life. Now while this is usually nostalgic in some way, there are some cds that bring up memories youd rather forget. As a result, ive taken it to try and push out or at least reduce one set of memories and replace it with a new set when listening to music. Ive started listening to the same cd riding to and from work which is starting to make an association. I havent the slightest idea if this will actually work, but so far, the results seem promising.

Addendum: That important and significant topic mentioned in my last post is no longer necessary to blog about so anyone waiting at the edge of their seat, lean back and wait for something better to come this way worth mentioning.

Providence

Yesterday, I took a trip to Providence. Id never actually explored there so it seemed worth checking out. The trip started out with heading over to Brown University and Thayer Street. We found an awesome bagel and mexican food place (strange combination) along with a liberal themed coffee shop. Then we checked out the RISD museum and saw some art. It was close to closing so the man in charge didn't feel we should have to pay for admission. which was great. Then we went to a park nearby that overlooks all of Providence and while the park itself was great as is, there was a wedding going on as well. It was good weather and the wedding seemed to go over really well. We read My Mistress's Sparrow is Dead which is an amazing collection of stories. Then we set off to find some Mexican food which at first seemed to not be working so well until we asked around at a park festival nearby. Turns out that the day we were there was a Providence Gay Pride Awareness Day so it was just a little bit of a strangely themed park festival. I never thought id see the day that trash cans say "sponsored by IL Lubricants" on them but there is a first time for everything. The mexican food was the best ive had so far outside of Tucson which was great.
Waterfire, a public event in providence was set to happen the night we were there so we decided to check that out. I've put a few pictures at the beginning and end of this pos
t. It was slow to get started but once everything was lit, it was really great.
all in all, this weekend has been great. Iron Maiden was by far the best large show i've ever been to. Tonight marks yet another concert. Im switching it up a bit with Tiesto. All in all, it's never been better. More on one specific and rather important pa
rt later.
